David is the medical technology specialist and a biomedical engineer with extensive experience in technology management and systems implementation in Australia, New Zealand, the Middle East, Papua New Guinea and the Pacific Island Countries. He has firsthand knowledge of hospital design, equipment provisioning and commissioning including extensive experience in developing countries.
David has worked with architects and planners in all stages of hospital construction to ensure the needs of the clinical departments are fulfilled and the medical equipment is ready to treat patients from the first day.
Part of the role of the technology specialist is the preparation of training manuals and delivering the information to the clinical staff and David is equipped with teaching skills based on his experience in the delivery of training and scientific presentations in universities, conferences and hospitals. David has a deep understanding of the need for future proofing medical equipment and to ensure that there is support for installations in the long term.
